Hutchens Construction was recently recognized by the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association for the work they performed on the Shell Knob Plaza in Shell Knob, MO. The following press release was issued by MAPA:

 

Hutchens Construction Wins Quality Construction Award

Jefferson City, Missouri. January 14, 2016. The Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association is pleased to announce Hutchens Construction was recognized with a Quality Construction Award for the Shell Knob Plaza Parking Lot Rehabilitation. Hutchens Construction received 2nd place in the Excellence in Private & Commercial Paving category.

Applications for Quality Construction Awards are submitted each year with the projects judged on criteria ranging from innovation to the quality of completed projects. When evaluated on such criteria, the Private & Commercial paving project at Shell Knob Plaza made it into the final two. Hutchens Construction removed existing asphalt, repaired soft subgrades, installed new rock base and completed the project with a new asphalt pavement. Hutchens Construction was restricted to working in 2 phases to complete the project. This project represents excellent execution of Private & Commercial Paving work.
