Since its inception in 1961, Hutchens Construction Company has made quality construction an operational priority. We strive to set the bar within our industry for quality standards and customer service. Our goal is to exceed industry standards in all operations. We have vertically integrated our asphalt production, producing our own aggregate, in order to utilize only the highest quality materials in all asphalt mixes. We test all asphalt for projects and distribution to ensure it performs at or above specifications.

Our 100% employee-owned construction company is operated by more than 100 employee-owners, with excellent employee retention due to our commitment to continual education and training and our belief in on-the-job safety.

Our commitment to quality is evidenced by HCC’s reputation and numerous industry accolades. We have received over 50 awards recognizing quality, safety, and environmental awareness from the National Asphalt Pavement Association, Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association, Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association, National Stone Sand & Gravel Association, US Department of Labor, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

A Commitment to Community

Hutchens Construction Company gives back to our customers and industry and the communities we work in as well. Philanthropy is a company priority. Our mission is to not only work in a community but serve those who live in it. We are involved with local Chambers of Commerce and continually donate time and money to various school & community sporting events, sponsor seasonal festivals, and support numerous other events requiring either time and/or donations to provide benefits to each community we work in.

A Dedication to Industry Improvement

Our awards are not only a testament to the quality of work completed by HCC they are also a reflection our active involvement with various industry associations. We are a proud member of the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association, Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association, Oklahoma Asphalt Pavement Association, and the National Asphalt Pavement Association. Many of our company representatives serve on Boards of these organizations. They actively participate and engage in association events and are involved with industry wide improvement efforts.
